I run a range of art workshops in galleries and schools with adults, children and families. Most workshops will involve some collage, printmaking, papercutting or drawing. Please send me an email if you would like to discuss a workshop - hello@louisepettifer.co.uk
Forthcoming Workshops - Papercut Plants Workshop – at Rye Creative Centre - Thursday 27th January 2022 - 10.30am - 1pm Using fresh flowers & floral imagery as inspiration, you will produce a collage, using papercutting and other collage techniques. You will make a few simple line drawings using a set of guided exercises, these have a focus on relaxation and are light-hearted and fun - you don’t need any drawing experience to enjoy this workshop. We will paint papers with colours inspired by the flowers we are studying. We will use scissors and craft knives to cut shapes and glue these into position with pritt stick glue or PVA. Materials will be provided but please bring your preferred scissors & craft knife if you have them and any papers you would particularly like to collage with – including old printed or painted sketchbook pages. Tickets are £30 per person. ryecreativecentre.co.uk/classes To book your place, or for further information, please e-mail Louise on: hello@louisepettifer.co.uk
Monoprinting from Plants Workshop - At Rye Creative Centre - Saturday 5th March 2022 - 10.30am - 1pm Using real plants and flowers we will create beautiful one of a kind prints, known as monoprints. The technique and the gelli plates we use will allow you to capture all the intricate and fine details of the plants. You do not need any drawing skills or experience to create beautiful artwork using this enjoyable technique. Once the work is made you will have a small series of prints. We will also briefly look at the way artists have used collage and paper cutting techniques to further enhance their prints and you will be able to experiment with some of these processes if you want to. ryecreativecentre.co.uk/classes To book a place please email Louise on hello@louisepettifer.co.uk
